Raptors select Pascal Siakam 27th overall

The Toronto Raptors selected New Mexico State's Pascal Siakam with the 27th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

With a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Siakam has tremendous defensive potential, and could one day develop into an elite shot blocker. While still raw by NBA standards, Siakam was highly productive in his sophomore season in college, and possesses the physical tools necessary to excel in the pros.

At 22 years old, Siakam doesn't have incredible upside, and his somewhat poor basketball IQ could hold him back at the next level. Siakam will also need to work on his shooting and post skills to avoid becoming a liability on offense.
