After watching his backcourt mate net six 3-pointers through the first 36 minutes of Game 6, Steph Curry knew exactly who the Warriors needed to turn to with their season on the line.

"I told him to 'do what you do,' and he did that. 'This is your time,'" Curry told Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle following Klay Thompson's historic shooting performance.

With the go-ahead from the MVP, Thompson dazzled in the fourth quarter, finishing with 19 points on 5-of-6 shooting from deep to carry Golden State to a thrilling 108-101 victory over the Thunder.

"When the MVP has confidence in you, it means a lot," Thompson said. "It gives you a sense of urgency to go out there and play your game and just have fun. It's easy playing with Steph, because the air of confidence he has about him trickles down to everyone on this team."

While many of his Warriors teammates have struggled, Thompson has remained largely effective for much of the Western Conference finals, averaging 25.3 points and 4.3 rebounds on 39.3 shooting from deep.

Should one or two starters get off to a slow start Monday night, Curry and Co. appear comfortable allowing Thompson work his magic once again.
