Cavs' Jones suspended 1 game for low blow on Biyombo

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dahntay Jones has been suspended one game without pay for striking Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo in the groin during the final seconds of Saturday's Game 3, the league announced Sunday.

Biyombo crouched down on the hardwood at the Air Canada Centre in agony as the final buzzer went off. He eventually left under his own power as several teammates and members of the training staff checked on him.

"I got hit in the area that I wasn't supposed to be hit on. A private area, so to speak. Whenever the league has a chance, they probably want to take a look. That's all I can say on that one," BIyombo said following the Raptors' 99-84 victory.

Jones saw the floor for a little over a minute in garbage time with the final result no longer in doubt. He didn't register a single number on the box score, with his only impact of the night coming in the form of the low blow.

The 35-year-old veteran is averaging one point in seven appearances off the end of the bench during Cleveland's postseason run.

Biyombo, however, was a difference-maker for Toronto, grabbing a franchise record 26 rebounds in 39 minutes. He also scored seven points and blocked four shots.
