It was all feeling so familiar. In Game 5 against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, the Toronto Raptors were letting a lead slip away in the fourth quarter, again. They were tightening up at the worst time, again. Their offense was cratering down the stretch, again.

Then, much as he did in Game 3, Kyle Lowry saved them.

With the lead - once as large as 20 points - down to three in the last minute of regulation, and the shot clock running off the final ticks of another brutally disorganized Raptors possession, Lowry stepped back from about 30 feet out. Six-point lead.

Moments later, after Dwyane Wade sliced it back down to four, Lowry effectively put the game on ice with a driving, off-balance pull-up that sent Pat Riley scuttling for the exit.

Lowry went just 9-of-25 for the game, but he hit the two biggest shots for the Raptors, and rang up a game-high plus-25 rating in his game-high 41 minutes.
