Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Dealing with first-degree knee sprain

Whiteside (knee) is believed to be dealing with a first-degree sprain, Ethan J. Skolnick of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

A first degree sprain is the least severe kind of sprain, but the Heat haven't been willing to outline any specific timetable for Whiteside's return. The center sat out Monday's 94-87 overtime win over the Raptors in Game 4 of the series, and is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis in advance of Wednesday's Game 5. Whiteside will have to wait for swelling and bruising on his knee to subside before testing out his injury and getting cleared to return.
