The Houston Rockets interviewed Toronto Raptors assistant Rex Kalamian on Thursday, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

The Rockets traveled to Cleveland - where the Raptors face the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals - to conduct the interview, reports Stein.

Talk of the Rockets selecting Mike D'Antoni for their head coaching vacancy has been gaining steam for a few days now, but it appears they may be interested in Kalamian even if as a member of D'Antoni's staff. Kalamian was an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2009-15, before joining the Raptors. He is apparently close with James Harden.

Kalamian's former boss in Oklahoma City, Scott Brooks, may also be interested in bringing him aboard with the Washington Wizards, according to Stein.

The Rockets reportedly also interviewed Stephen Silas and Jeff Bzdelik Thursday.
