Warriors' Stephen Curry: Expected to scrimmage Thursday

Curry (knee) is hoping that he'll be able to scrimmage Thursday, NBA.com reports.

Analysis:

The Warriors have already ruled Curry out of Tuesday's Game 2 against the Trail Blazers, but coach Steve Kerr intimated that the team is hoping to put the point guard through a workout Thursday that could ultimately go a long way toward determining his Game 3 status. "Thursday, we will definitely get up and down and hopefully [Curry] will be able to take part, but we don't know yet," Kerr said. "We had the same situation in Houston. We wanted to get him back. We got two days of work in and you could see that he was rusty, but he still makes an impact just being out on the floor." Kerr noted that once Curry does return, he'll likely face a minutes limit in an attempt to avoid re-injury. The coach also remarked that the Warriors won't let the results of the series impact their decision-making. "It's not like if we're 2-2 or something we're not going to bring him back," Kerr said. "We can't let the series score determine whether we bring him back; it's really based on his health and his rhythm."
