Stephen Curry's return to the Golden State Warriors' lineup may be just around the corner.

The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player has been out of action since being diagnosed with a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee after slipping on the hardwood in Game 4 against the Houston Rockets in the opening round.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently said the chances of Curry suiting up for Game 2 at Oracle Arena against the Portland Trail Blazers are "pretty slim." However, as it pertains to Game 3 on Saturday, the Chef is optimistic he'll be ready to compete.

When interviewed by ESPN's Lisa Salters during Game 1, Curry was asked what the chances were that he'd be able to play in a week.

"To me, they're pretty good," Curry said. "I'll do everything I can this week to make that happen."

He took part in some shooting drills Sunday morning without movement, and he hopes to participate in scrimmages with his teammates at some point next week.
