Stephen Curry will not play in Game 1 against the Trail Blazers and is considered doubtful for Game 2

Curry has officially been ruled out for Game 1 of the Warriors' second-round matchup with the Trail Blazers on Sunday, and only has a "slim" chance of playing in Tuesday's Game 2, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Curry did some on-court work Saturday and participated in some light shooting, which indicates he's progressing well in his recovery. The Warriors seem open to bringing Curry back before the original two-week timetable that was outlined for the star point guard, but coach Steve Kerr said that Curry may need to take part in a 5-on-5 scrimmage later in the week before he's cleared by team trainers. Despite the optimistic reviews so far regarding Curry's recovery, the Warriors will likely remain cautious by holding him out for at least the first two games of the series, allowing Shaun Livingston to stick in the starting lineup.
