Pistons' Van Gundy fined $25K for comments critical of officials

Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for comments critical of officiating during the broadcast of Sunday's Game 1 of Detroit's playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Van Gundy surmised during a sideline interview with ABC that LeBron James "gets to do what he wants" because officials won't call offensive fouls on him. Perhaps sensing a fine coming from the league office, the coach moderated his remarks after the Pistons' 106-101 loss.
Game 2 of the series gets underway Wednesday in Cleveland.
