Draymond Green doesn't think he sets illegal screens

It seems that no matter how well the Golden State Warriors perform, there's always some excuse given to discredit their success.

One player who has remained at the forefront of the criticism is outspoken forward Draymond Green, who's repeatedly faced a bevvy of disparagement for his apparent ability to get away with illegal screens.

Whether it's true or not, Green doesn't believe he sets screens any differently than the rest of the league, stating that people have only taken notice because of Golden State's elite shooters.

"I don't think I set illegal screens," Green told ESPN's Ethan Strauss. "I think I set screens just like anybody else. My guys get open shots (because) they got two of the quickest releases in the NBA. Everybody else in the NBA sets the same screens we set. They just don't got the shooters we got. Ain't my fault. I can't shoot like Klay and Steph either. Am I supposed to cry about it? Nah, you do what you can do. Ain't our fault they can't get their shot off as quick as Klay and Steph can. So big deal. Go find somebody that can shoot that quick. I don't care."

While Green may think his screens are clean, opposing fans believe otherwise. One critic went as far as the put together a montage of all the moving screens Green set in 2015-16:

Even if Green gets away with the occasional moving screen, there's no evidence proving other players are treated any worse - leading some Warriors to believe it's just another excuse.

"It sounds like some excuses to me. I mean, we get picked on moving screens all the time," Klay Thompson said to Diamond Leung of Bay Area News Group.
