Kerr expects Curry to play Game 4

It sounds as though the Golden State Warriors will have the reigning MVP back in uniform for Game 4 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

"I would expect Steph (Curry) to play," head coach Steve Kerr told reporters Saturday.

Curry suffered an apparent right ankle injury in the first game of the series, and sat out the following two. The Warriors won Game 2 handily without him at home, but lost Game 3 in Houston on James Harden's last-second jumper (which the NBA later announced shouldn't have counted).

Before suffering the injury in Game 1, Curry went off for a game-high 24 points in just 20 minutes of action - during which the Warriors outscored the Rockets by 28.

Kerr said he would prioritize Curry's health above all else, and that his return wouldn't be dictated by the series score. There's no telling whether the Warriors would've sat Curry an extra game if they'd stolen Game 3, but Kerr said his superstar point guard is pain-free and ready to go.
