Sixers' Bryan Colangelo looking to 'accelerate' winning

Philadelphia 76ers' fans tired of a long and drawn out rebuild can finally rejoice.

Although he gave no indication of a full-on overhaul, recently hired Sixers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo is eager to instill a winning culture in Philadelphia.

"We're looking to transition from unfortunate losing to more winning. We want to accelerate that process next year," Colangelo said on SiriusXM NBA Radio.

In three seasons under former general manager Sam Hinkie, the Sixers failed to amass 20 wins in a season, as Philadelphia infamously tanked to collect as many high draft picks as possible. With an onslaught of assets and salary-cap space at their disposal, the Sixers have the resources available to grab a good player or two in the offseason.

It would come as little surprise if Colangelo decided to speed up the rebuilding process in Philadelphia, famously implementing a win-now mentality during his time with both the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors.

"Losing drags down the culture ... We have to get the whole organization into the habit of winning."
