Butler didn't fly with the Bulls to New Orleans on Sunday in advance of Monday's game against the Pelicans due to a family commitment, ESPN reports. He's still expected to join the Bulls in time for Monday's game. "Maybe he had stuff to take care of," Butler's agent, Happy Walters, said. "Whatever he's doing, he'll be at the game."

Analysis:

The exact reason for Butler's absence is unclear, but it doesn't look as though his status is in much jeopardy Monday night, and he's set to join the team for their morning shootaround, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. The Bulls were officially eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend, but Butler is expected to see his usual role over the Bulls' final two games.
