Pippen congratulates Warriors, 'cold blooded' Curry

The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls are now co-owners of the NBA single-season wins record.

Moments after the Golden State Warriors victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday that secured their 72nd win of the season, former Bulls forward and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen sent out his congratulations.

Like many members of that record-setting Bulls team, Pippen has stated that he believes his former side would easily handle the Warriors in a hypothetical best of seven series.

Pippen, however, has said that he does enjoy watching how Golden State plays the game, and believes someone challenging the record is good for the sport.

"To see the Warriors doing what they're doing today, the way the game has changed, I think it's great," Pippen said. "I'm probably one of the Warriors' biggest fans."

He added: "You want to see people go at them. I mean, I don't want to see that 72 stay up there and no one get close. If they break it, let them have it. But regular season don't win championships."
