Duncan passes Miller on all-time games played list
As if we needed more confirmation that Tim Duncan has been playing basketball a very, very long time.
By suiting up for the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday evening against the Golden State Warriors, Duncan moved past Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller for sole possession of eighth place on the NBA's all-time games played list.
Rank | Player | Games Played |
---|---|---|
1 | Robert Parish | 1611 |
2 | Kareem Abdul-Jabbar | 1560 |
3 | John Stockton | 1504 |
4 | Karl Malone | 1476 |
5 | Kevin Garnett | 1462 |
6 | Kevin Willis | 1424 |

San Antonio's narrow 88-86 win over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday was Duncan's 1,000th win with the organization, making him just the third player ever to reach that mark. He's also the only player to accomplish that feat in one uniform.
Should Duncan play in at least two of the Spurs' final four games of the regular season after Thursday, he'll leapfrog former All-Star point guard and current Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd.
