Spurs match NBA record for home wins in regular season

The San Antonio Spurs weren't perfect at home in 2015-16 thanks to Sunday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, but Tuesday's 102-98 overtime win over the Oklahoma City Thunder allowed the Spurs to match the 1985-86 Boston Celtics for the best home record in NBA history at 40-1.
Those Celtics, featuring Larry Bird and Kevin McHale, went on to win the NBA title that season.

Tuesday's victory ended the Spurs' schedule at AT&T Center, and extended the franchise record for wins in a season to 66. They wrap up the regular portion of the campaign Wednesday in Dallas against the Mavericks.
Stunningly, it was the Spurs' first overtime contest of 2015-16, in the season's 81st game.
