VIDEO: Anderson Silva clowns Michael Bisping after open workout

Jayne Kamin-Oncea / USA TODAY

Anderson Silva is as slick outside the cage as he is inside it.

During the switch-over at an open workout Thursday in Los Angeles, Silva got into a brief verbal altercation with his UFC Fight Night 84 opponent Michael Bisping. Ever the instigator, Bisping arguably ended up taking the brunt of the beating in this verbal exchange:

"No viagra," Bisping said to Silva as he was exiting the gym, a reference to Silva's recent drug suspension that allegedly involved tainted sexual enhancement supplements. He then followed up by threatening to put his shin to Silva's chin and calling him old.

Bisping's trainers can be seen trying to pull him away, but not before Silva kills "The Count" with kindness.

"Give me a hug, come on, man," Silva said. "I understand your frustration for never going for the belt."

The 40-year-old Silva was the middleweight champion for six years, and he holds the record for consecutive UFC title defenses with 10.

Bisping has never been in a UFC title match.

The two meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night 84 on Feb. 27.
