Bisping blasts GSP's build, says fight likely won't happen in July

Michael Bisping is as tickled with Georges St-Pierre's physique at 185 pounds as the rest of us.

After video and photo evidence of GSP as a seemingly pudgy middleweight made its way around the internet, "The Count" took to his podcast, "Believe You Me," to give his two cents on his foe-to-be's build as only he can.

"I don't know what's going on, to be quite frank, but he looks like he's been impregnated by an alien," Bisping said.

However, the middleweight champ also suspected St-Pierre might have flaunted his glorious gut in a cheeky show of gamesmanship ahead of their still dateless bout.

The UFC had initially targeted July's International Fight Week for GSP's comeback bout, but Bisping is now "99 percent certain" the date is no longer on the table, which suits him just fine, as his recovery from minor knee surgery has taken longer than expected.

"I'm hearing that the fight's not gonna happen in July. That's the fight we've had, we shook hands, and if it doesn't happen in July, then whatever. A couple more months down the line, so be it," Bisping said. "As I say, it does help me, because I have been struggling with my knee. So I'm happy about that. It's a bit of a relief, because I have been concerned about going straight to a training camp when I get back because my knee just isn't healing right."

St-Pierre has estimated his middleweight debut will take place in the fall, and with Bisping's delayed recovery prompting him to posit October during his latest podcast, the fighters are now on the same page for the first time since their matchup was announced earlier this year.
