Cyborg considers bout with boxing champ on Twitter

Cris Cyborg is casting a wide net in her search for her next opponent.

As the UFC doesn't have a 145-pound division to accommodate Cyborg, it's an uphill climb for the matchmakers to figure out how to book the popular fighter. Her lone UFC bout was a lopsided 140-pound catchweight affair against Leslie Smith.

On Sunday, the Invicta FC featherweight champion found herself drawn into a conversation with welterweight boxing champ Cecilia Braekhus when a fan suggested Holly Holm was afraid of Braekhus.

Cyborg volunteered to take on Braekhus. For a price.

The 34-year-old Braekhus is boxing's best female fighter at 147 pounds, which just so happens to be around Cyborg's fighting weight. She also has kickboxing experience, which means it wouldn't be far-fetched to see her make the move from the ring to the Octagon.

If the UFC gets tired of waiting for bantamweight stars like Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate to step up, they could have a world class challenger waiting in the wings.
