Report: UFC sale on verge of completion

Jayne Kamin-Oncea / USA TODAY

The sale of the UFC from Zuffa LLC to an investment group led by the William Morris Endeavor-IMG agency is reportedly almost a done deal.

Despite the promotion's denial that a sale has been agreed upon, Jeremy Botter of FloSports reports the basics of the agreement are in place and the sale - believed to be worth around $4 billion - is all but complete.

The change in ownership won't take effect until all the paperwork is finalized, with the UFC expected to make the announcement in July during International Fight Week, notes Botter.

The new ownership group is also reportedly set to offer Dana White a new ownership stake to keep him with the company.

White and vice president of public relations Dave Sholler didn't respond to Botter's request for comment on the completion of the sale.
