With Harry Shipp now shipped off (sorry) to the Montreal Impact, the Chicago Fire have reportedly identified a replacement winger in the form of FC Groningen's Michael de Leeuw, according to Chicago Now reporter Guillermo Rivera.

De Leeuw, a former teammate of current Fire defender Johan Kappelhof, is one of several targets in Europe, but no deal has been struck yet as the Philadelphia Union apparently own his Discovery Rights.

The Dutch attacker is a consistent goal-scorer, having found the back of the net 43 times since joining Groningen in 2012.
