Cubs-Yankees Twitter battle gets personal

The Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees won't meet this season - unless both teams reach the World Series - but that didn't prevent two of MLB's oldest clubs from renewing hostilities over the Internet on Monday.

What began as one Yankees fan's simple preference turned into a Twitter battle between the two clubs that resulted in some hurt feelings for "the Lovable Losers."

The Yankees have certainly constructed the more impressive resume across the two organizations, winning 27 World Series titles compared to the Cubs' two World Series wins, which came back in 1907 and 1908.
