Harper shows Washington pride at Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50 featured the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos on Sunday, but that didn't stop Bryce Harper from going against the grain and showing where his loyalty lies.

The National League MVP took in the big game on Sunday and WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne of the Chicago Sky snapped a photo of the 23-year-old wearing a backwards Washington Redskins hat.

Harper teased social media with the idea of wearing the hat on his Instagram account Saturday, and the slugger stuck to his word.

Harper, who was drafted by the Washington Nationals - but originally hails from Las Vegas, Nev., - with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft has spent his entire career with the club.
