Sixteen-year-old Cuban phenom Lazaro Robersy Armenteros Arango, better known as "Lazarito" Armenteros, could find a new home with a big-league club soon.

The teenager, who was cleared to sign by Major League Baseball in early January, anticipates making a decision by Feb. 10 - the first day he's eligible to sign with a club - and is already in negotiations with teams, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

The 16-year-old stands 6-foot-2, while weighing 205 pounds, and is capable of playing outfield, first base, and third base.

"My goal is to sign with a team and make it to the Major Leagues one day," Armenteros told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez in September. "I'm confident I can make that happen. Make an impact. I'm working hard every day to reach that goal."

Armenteros was named to the Under-15 all-tournament team at the Baseball World Cup in Mexico last year after hitting .462 with five triples and eight RBIs in nine games.

The teenager currently resides in Haiti and is represented by Ariel Nunez of Culture 39, an agency owned by Charles Hairston, the cousin of former major leaguers Jerry Hairston Jr. and Scott Hairston.
