Justin Masterson is looking to revitalize his career after an injury-riddled 2015 season, and he may get the chance to do so in Pittsburgh.

The Pirates are reportedly interested in the 30-year-old starter, according to Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune.

Pittsburgh hopes Masterson can return to the form he showed with the Cleveland Indians, specifically during an All-Star season in 2013 when he went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 29 starts.

The righty struggled this past year with the Boston Red Sox in both a starting and bullpen role, compiling a 5.61 ERA (4.89 FIP) over 59 1/3 innings before being designated for assignment and then released. He'll look to compete for a starting role after the Pirates lost starter J.A. Happ to the Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander A.J. Burnett to retirement.
