Angels' Pujols ties Mickey Mantle for 16th all-time with 536th home run

Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols continues to climb up the home run leaderboard.
Pujols launched a 365-foot shot to right center field off Tampa Bay Rays rookie Nathan Karns on Tuesday for his 536th career home run. The blast tied him with New York Yankees legend Mickey Mantle for 16th on the all-time list.

It's been a month on the move for the 35-year-old Pujols, who tied and surpassed Hall-of-Famer Jimmie Foxx for 17th on the all-time list with 534 home runs last week.

The nine-time All-Star now has 16 home runs through 55 games this season after hitting 28 across 159 in 2014. Pujols has recorded at least 30 home runs in 12 of his 15 career seasons, but hasn't reached that benchmark since 2012.
