Jackson (ankle) was placed on the 15-day DL on Monday.

Analysis:

Jackson had earlier reported feeling hopeful that the ankle sprain he suffered during Sunday's contest wouldn't land him on the DL, but the team ultimately decided to do so. Given his optimism of avoiding such a stint, it's possible Jackson will only need to miss the minimum 15 days before returning. Justin Ruggiano figures to get the majority of the starts in his absence.
