Report: White Sox sign Zach Duke to multi-year deal

The Chicago White Sox have taken a step towards improving one of the worst bullpens in baseball last season by signing left-handed reliever Zach Duke to a multi-year deal, according to Dan Hayes of Comcast SportsNet.
Duke was exceptional for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2014, posting a 2.45 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over 58 2/3 innings while striking out 74. He also held left-handed hitters to a minuscule .198 average over 96 at-bats.
The 31-year-old began his career as a starter with the Pittsburgh Pirates but converted to a reliever in 2011.
White Sox relievers ranked 28th in the majors in ERA (4.38) and opponent batting average (.265) last season, and dead last in WHIP (1.51).
