Angels' Wilson chased from Game 3 after recording only 2 outs
Los Angeles Angels Game 3 starter C.J. Wilson's worst nightmare has come true after the Kansas City Royals staged an offensive barrage in the bottom of the first inning.
The lefty got in trouble early in the must-win game for the Angels and didn't survive the first frame, allowing three runs on three hits before making way for Vinnie Pestano.
Wilson yielded back-to-back one-out singles to Nori Aoki and Lorenzo Cain, but it looked like he'd escape the inning after striking out Eric Hosmer. Wilson then walked Billy Butler to load the bases, however, setting the stage for Alex Gordon to clear them with a double to left-center field that gave the Royals a 3-1 lead.
Wilson was spotted a 1-0 lead courtesy of a Mike Trout solo home run in the top of the first inning.
