Orioles' Meek on allowing game-winning hit to Jeter: 'What a moment'
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Evan Meek will forever be known as the man who surrendered the walk-off hit to Derek Jeter in his final game at Yankee Stadium, and he's okay with it.

The six-year veteran drew the unenviable assignment of trying to get Jeter out in the ninth inning of a 5-5 game. As the sold out crowd of 48,613 at Yankee Stadium urged the captain on, Meek delivered an 86-mph first-pitch changeup that Jeter drove through the infield as the winning run scored from second.
Meek, who spent the majority of his career in the National League before he signed with Baltimore prior to this season, walked Jeter in the only previous career meeting between the two.
