The Cleveland Indians possess plenty of depth in the middle of their infield and have been receiving interest from teams for the services of one of their shortstops.

Cabrera, who could rejoin the Indians Sunday after being held out of the lineup since Monday with a bad back, has struggled the past two seasons to find the same success that earned him back-to-back All-Star appearances in 2011 and 2012.

The 28-year-old is hitting .247/.308/.392 with nine home runs, 39 RBI and 76 strikeouts through 94 games this season. Cabrera is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Shortstop Francisco Lindor, the team's top ranked prospect, recently made the jump to Triple-A after 88 games in Double-A where he hit .278/.352/.389 with six home runs and 48 RBI.
