A bullpen is a brotherhood of sorts. Men sit together, separated from the rest of their teammates, and grow together as a unit, decoding the mysteries of life and baseball.
To be welcomed into the bullpen takes more than simply showing up and sitting in the right spot. It must be earned.
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller is making the move from the starting rotation to the bullpen, and on Sunday was asked to prove he belonged by participating in a trust fall into the arms of his waiting teammates.
