Twins' Hicks to resume switch-hitting 1 month after abandoning it

Jesse Johnson / USA TODAY Sports

Well that didn't last long.

One month after Minnesota Twins outfielder Aaron Hicks abandoned switch-hitting due to his ineffectiveness at the plate, the 24-year-old has changed his mind.

Hicks has appeared in 10 games since making the initial switch, as he's spent a bulk of the last month on the disabled list with a strained shoulder. When he was in the lineup, the results weren't pretty - hitting .200/.368/.267 with seven strikeouts in 15 at-bats.

Hicks has been a disappointment from both sides of the plate throughout his young career, batting .194/.285/.314 in 129 games.
