Report: Alex Guerrero has part of ear bitten off by Miguel Olivo
Not since Holyfield vs Tyson has news of an ear being bitten off in a fight made headlines. Alex Guerrero and Miguel Olivo did their best to re-enact that altercation at Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, according to Jon Morosi.
Seriously.
Agent Scott Boras told Morosi that part of Guerrero's ear was "displaced by a bite" during an altercation with Olivo. Dodgers GM Ned Colletti confirmed that Guerrero and Olivo were involved in an altercation, making this too-bizarre-to-be-real incident incredibly true.
Guerrero is undergoing plastic surgery to repair his ear, according to Boras. He went on to say that police have gathered evidence regarding the incident, and that Guerrero's return timetable is uncertain.
Any Dodgers fans still clinging to the idea that Yasiel Puig is negatively impacting the dressing room now have to consider that he has not yet been accused of biting any of his teammates.
