Report: A's Brett Anderson was other player in failed 3-team deal including Jays' Santos
There was a lot of speculation after a failed physical voided a three-team trade involving Blue Jays pitcher Sergio Santos. There were questions about which teams were involved, which players were involved, and especially who failed the physical.
The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo is now reporting at least part of one of those details, casually stating that the A's lefty Brett Anderson was going to be part of the deal.
"Anthopoulos has tried to make things happen with trade proposals, including a recent Sergio Santos/Brett Anderson swap with the Oakland A’s, but it never materialized." - Nick Cafardo on BostonGlobe.com
Beyond that, the rest of the details involving the failed trade are still unknown. Anderson appeared in 16 games for the A's in 2013, starting five times.
