Braves' Bartolo Colon: Opens strong against old mates
Colon spun six strong innings in his first start of the year Wednesday, giving up just a single run on two hits and a walk while whiffing six Mets in a no-decision.
Analysis:
Colon spent the past three seasons with the Mets, making at least 31 starts in each of them, and he's actually coming off the best of the three -- 15 wins with a 3.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP will play in almost any fantasy format. However, his move to the Braves has to be considered a downgrade, as their offense and bullpen don't project to provide Colon with the same level of support that he enjoyed in New York. It's also hard to ignore that he's going to turn 44 years old next month.
