Watch: Top 3 defensive plays of Opening Day

Baseball fans couldn't have asked for better Opening Day entertainment.

As the 2017 season finally got underway in full force Tuesday, some players still appeared to be coming to grips with the new campaign, while others looked as though they hadn't missed a beat on the field.

Here are the top three defensive plays from Opening Day:

Bradley treks the triangle

Adjusting to the dimensions of the triangle at Fenway is a must for any Boston Red Sox center fielder, but Jackie Bradley Jr. looked pretty comfortable Monday when he chased down Francisco Cervelli's long fly to make an impressive over-the-shoulder snag.

Buxton plunges to perfection

The Minnesota Twins are hoping Byron Buxton will take the next step in his development at the plate this season, but they can rest assured he hasn't lost his touch defensively, as the center fielder read Alex Gordon's hit perfectly to pull off the diving grab. Oh yeah - Buxton also made another aesthetically pleasing catch just two innings later.

Bautista doubles up the O's

When Jose Bautista squares off against the Baltimore Orioles, the Toronto Blue Jays slugger always seems to have a little more pop in his bat, but the right fielder flipped the script Monday. Bautista's ninth-inning diving grab robbed Joey Rickard of a potential game-ending hit, while an overeager Welington Castillo was subsequently doubled up at first.
