Watch: Pillar launches bat into stands on back-to-back swings
Evan Habeeb / USA TODAY Sports
Throwing a bat into the stands once is one thing, sometimes you lose your grip.
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar must have dunked his hands in bacon grease before heading to the plate in the top of the 8th inning against the Baltimore Orioles, as he sent his bat flying into foul territory on two consecutive swings. Fortunately, no one appears to have been hurt, because baseball bats aren't exactly made out of Styrofoam. Not a bad souvenir, though.
