Cubs fans get early start on World Series party
It's already happy hour in Chicago.
In honor of their beloved Chicago Cubs hosting Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1945, fans decided to make a full day of it, and get the beer flowing early Friday - at 5:30 a.m. CT to be exact.
I knew the Cubs in the World Series would be big I'm just not sure we all realized how big. This is this morning at 5:30 am. pic.twitter.com/uqqImiBT5i

Fans lined up at a pair of bars - the Cubby Bear and Murphy's Bleachers, both walking distance from Wrigley Field - taking pregame celebrations to a whole new level. Murphy's, which usually opens at 11:00 a.m. CT, began serving beer to thirsty Cubs fans at precisely 8:28 a.m.
Game 3 will be played Friday at Wrigley, and with ticket prices going for a king's ransom, it's no surprise fans are flocking to bars, perhaps hoping to land a good spot for game time.
