Korean league pitcher fires dangerous pick-off move

Former Chicago Cubs pitcher Chang-Yong Lim was headhunting on this play.

In Korean Baseball Organization action, a bizarre play unfolded on what looked like a routine pick-off attempt at second base.

As the pitcher spun around, neither the shortstop or second baseman were at the base to make a play. Just when it appeared as though the sequence was over, Chang-yong fired a missile right at the runner's head.

The ball just barely missed him and sailed into center field. It's unclear what triggered the dangerous play, but the pitcher escaped ejection nonetheless.

Lim appeared in six games for the Cubs in 2013.
