Albert Pujols has come through in the clutch more than a few times in the past, and he added to that mark once again Wednesday when he hit a two-run home run against Oakland Athletics right-hander Ryan Dull to help the Los Angeles Angels walk off with an 8-6 victory.

It was the 12th career walk-off home run of the 36-year-old's storied career, which is one shy of the MLB record held by Jim Thome, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Most walk-off HRs in MLB history

Player Walk-off HRs
Jim Thome 13
Albert Pujols 12
Babe Ruth 12
Mickey Mantle 12
Stan Musial 12
Frank Robinson 12
Jimmie Foxx 12

With the two-run blast, Pujols also pushed himself to 83 RBIs on the season, which ranks him third in the American League behind only Edwin Encarnacion (90) and David Ortiz (87).
