Phillies' Maikel Franco: Suffers wrist injury Friday
Franco suffered a left wrist injury after getting hit by a pitch Friday, the News Journal's Meghan Montemurro reports.
Analysis:
X-rays on the wrist were negative, but he said the pitch hit him almost exactly where Franco suffered a fracture last year and left him without feeling in his fingers or wrist, so it could still be somewhat serious. The team will likely subject their young third baseman to further tests, at which point a more exact diagnosis could be announced. Andres Blanco and Cody Asche will absorb any third base starts in the short term.
