Braves' Tyrell Jenkins: Could get shot to start
The Braves are considering giving Jenkins a shot in the rotation, the Atlanta Journal Constitution's David O'Brien reports.
Analysis:
Jenkins, who was seen as a high-upside pitching prospect several years ago in the Cardinals system, was recently recalled to pitch in relief. However, with a run of injuries and poor performances from other pitching prospects, the Braves may figure they have nothing to lose by letting Jenkins show what he has as a starter at the highest level. He hasn't posted a K-rate above 20 percent since 2012 and wins would be hard to come by, so there would be limited fantasy upside if the Braves do indeed opt to give him some starts in the coming weeks.
