The Los Angeles Dodgers didn't have to wait long to get a taste of the future - and what a delicious first impression Julio Urias made.

Urias, the first Dodgers pitcher in more than 50 years to start a game at age 19, froze Curtis Granderson with a 94-mph fastball to notch his first career strikeout during his anticipated MLB debut at Citi Field against the New York Mets.

Widely considered among the top prospects in all of baseball, the left-handed phenom threw six fastballs ranging from 90-94 mph during the seven-pitch at-bat to Granderson, while mixing in one slider that went for a ball. Manager Dave Roberts told reporters before the game that Urias would be limited to no more than 90 pitches Friday.

Things went south quickly though for the highly touted teenager, after the Mets scored three times on four hits during his 36-pitch first inning. Urias would last just five more outs, getting yanked after issuing four walks, five hits, and three runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out three and threw 42 of his 81 pitches for strikes.
