Detroit hadn't scored more than seven runs in any game this season before Sunday's 13-4 win over the Twins. The Tigers are unbeaten this season when allowing fewer than five runs (8-0).

Seattle also set a season high in runs scored Sunday, winning 11-1 at Oakland. It was just the Mariners' second road win of the season; their 2-9 road record is tied for second worst in MLB (Rays, 1-7).

Verlander's shaky start in Minnesota on Friday led to his second straight loss. Manager Brad Ausmus has no fear about a carryover to the right-hander's start against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday afternoon.

Seager doubled off Rodriguez with one out in the ninth, and Gamel followed with an RBI single to right-center field in the Mariners' 2-1 victory Thursday.
