The Rangers have won six of 10 meetings with the Brewers since Milwaukee joined the NL in 1998. Texas is 11-6 in interleague play this season, while the Brewers are 10-7.

Texas has clinched its fourth division title since (and including) 2010. That's tied with the Tigers and Dodgers for the most in the majors over that span.

The Rangers picked up back-to-back shutout wins in Oakland on Friday (3-0) and Saturday (5-0). It was their first time shutting out the same opponent on consecutive days since April 19-20, 2013 against the Mariners.

Milwaukee has recorded fewer than 10 hits in eight straight games, and in 16 of its last 17. The Brewers are batting .206 over that 17-game span, and their .243 batting average for the season would be their lowest since 1972 (.235).

Elvis Andrus registered his first career multi-homer game Saturday against Oakland (two HR, four RBI). He has career highs this season in home runs (eight), RBI (68), batting average (.299), and OPS (.797).

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)  The Texas Rangers have never finished with the best record in the American League in their history.
They're in position to do so with four home games to play following a 6-4 win Tuesday night over the Milwaukee Brewers thanks in part to a pair of ex-Brewers.
