The Indians lost, 5-1, to the A's in Oakland yesterday, dropping their second straight game, and falling to 3-8 in the last 11 road games overall. Cleveland has scored exactly one run in each of its last three contests -- one game shy of tying a franchise-high (in 1911, 1917 and 1975).

Texas defeated Cincinnati, 6-5, at Great American Ball Park last night, snapping its three-game losing streak with the win. The Rangers are 28-8 (.778) in one-run affairs this year -- best in MLB.

Texas took two of three from the Indians in these clubs' first series of the year at Progressive Field (May 30-June 1) by a combined score of 20-10. Cleveland has won each of the last three series with the Rangers at Globe Life Stadium (since 2013), posting a 7-3 overall record in those matchups.

Josh Tomlin allowed six runs (all earned) in 4.1 IP five days ago against the Blue Jays, taking the loss, and dropping to 0-4 with a 10.02 ERA in four starts this month. Tomlin is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two career starts vs. Texas at Globe Life Park.

Mitch Moreland's grand slam capped a bizarre, five-run first inning and Griffin pitched six strong innings as the Rangers beat the Cleveland Indians 7-0 Saturday night.
