The Braves lost their fifth straight game on Sunday, falling 7-2 to the Rockies at Coors Field. It was the Braves 20th loss this season by five or more runs, tied for second most in MLB (Cincinnati -- 24; Colorado -- 20).

Minnesota lost, 8-7, in Boston on Sunday, dropping to 5-5 since the All-Star break. Following a seven-game road trip, the Twins now return to Target Field where they are 20-29 on the year.

These two teams are meeting for just their fifth regular-season series ever, with the Braves having won the past five games. This series is a rematch of the 1991 World Series when Twins defeated the Braves in seven games.

Lucas Harrell took his second consecutive loss on Wednesday, allowing four runs over six innings against the Reds. Tonight will be Harrell's first career start against the Twins (0-1, 5.68 ERA in three relief appearances).

Ervin Santana allowed just one run over seven innings on Wednesday, but received a no-decision for his efforts. Over his past six starts, Santana is 2-1 with a 2.03 ERA and 0.93 WHIP, which rank third-lowest and second-lowest in the American League since June 19, respectively.

Adonis Garcia extended his career-long hitting streak to seven games with two singles in Colorado on Saturday. Over the streak, he is batting .379 with two home runs and a 1.034 OPS.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Atlanta Braves will try to cap a nine-game road trip on a positive note on Wednesday when they play the second of a two-game Interleague series against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
After losing six of their first seven games on the trip, the Braves emerged from Tuesday's series opener with a 2-0 victory behind six shutout innings from starting pitcher Lucas Harrell.
