The Cardinals, who have won nine of their last 13 games against the Braves, have not allowed more than 10 hits in any of their last 13 games against the Braves -- tied for the second-longest active streak against Atlanta (Detroit 18).

The Braves have allowed three or fewer runs in each of their last 15 victories -- tied (with Minnesota) for the longest active streak in the majors, and the Braves' longest such streak since a 16-win streak in 2002. On the other side of the ball, the Braves have failed to score more than three runs in any of their last nine home games, tied for the longest such streak since moving to Atlanta.

The St. Louis Cardinals also happen to be the Atlanta Braves right-hander's former club, and that would likely make a long-awaited victory a little sweeter should it come in Sunday's opener to a doubleheader.
